Caleb Williams Expected to Miss Three to Four Weeks With Grade 2 Hamstring Injury

Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams is expected to be sidelined for three to four weeks with a Grade 2 hamstring injury, according to a Sunday morning report from ESPN's Adam Schefter. Early indications last week had pointed to a less serious Grade 1 strain.

Williams had been listed as week to week, and head coach Ben Johnson did not rule him out for Monday night's game against the Philadelphia Eagles until Saturday. Tyson Bagent and Case Keenum are the options behind him on the depth chart.

A three to four week absence could cover the Eagles game, a matchup with the New York Jets, a divisional game against the Green Bay Packers and a Week 6 trip to Atlanta to face the Falcons.

The Bears are trying to reach the playoffs in back-to-back seasons for the first time since 2006.
